Planet Lemans is reporting that Nismo has signed a deal with Sumo Power in Japan to replace the shuttered Gigawave team.  Sumo Power is fairly well known in Japan as a major HKS Dealer.  They have also ran a few drag and time attack cars over the last few years.

Sumo Power GT is an unknown name for most people, although it seems that British JR Motorsports is behind this project. The company ran Mitsubishi Evo Xs in the British Rally Championship and is also behind Sumo Power, “the UK’s number 1 for Japanese performance parts.”

Sumo Power will join the Swiss Racing Team for a total of four Nissan R35 GT-R GT1’s running in the FIA Championship next year.
